About Little Bird

Little Bird is digitizing the registration, allocation and administration of childcare places throughout Germany. The interactive software with an online platform mediates between parents, day-care centres and nurseries as well as free and confessional institutions and public administrations. As a result, Little Bird creates transparency in the supplies of childcare and the registration process. The individual needs of parents can be easily addressed.

Little Bird supported more than 400.000 parents in finding childcare since 2010.

Challenge

There are more than 220.000 missing childcare places in Germany impacting 11% of the population. This is accompanied by very non-transparent allocation process between municipalities, childcare organizations and parents. That makes it even more difficult to find childcare.
